Information about data processing in the SimpleProposals iOS App

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the SimpleProposals iOS app available on the Apple App Store. It supplements the general website Privacy Policy. We process only the data required to operate the app and enable your use.

The app processes the following categories of data:
Email address and password (encrypted) for sign-in. Optionally, name and company details from your profile. Alternatively, you can sign in with your Apple ID (Sign in with Apple) — Apple then transmits only an anonymized user identifier, your email address (or a relay address @privaterelay.appleid.com if you selected "Hide My Email"), and optionally your name on the first sign-in. This data is shared with the web version — if you use the same email, it's the same account.
Proposals, invoices, customer data, and text snippets you create in the app are stored in our database so you can use them across all devices and on simpleproposals.com.
If you subscribe via in-app purchase, Apple only tells us that your subscription is active (plan and status). We receive no payment data, no Apple ID, and no credit card information — these remain with Apple.
The app does not send its own analytics or tracking data. If you have allowed it in iOS Settings, Apple forwards anonymous crash reports to us via App Store Connect.
We use the following service providers to operate the app:
Apple handles the purchase, billing, and management of your in-app subscription entirely on its own. All payment information (credit card, Apple ID, billing address) remains with Apple — we receive neither card data nor your Apple ID. From Apple, we only receive whether your Pro subscription is currently active (via signed App Store Server Notifications). The app does NOT request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent, because it does not perform any cross-app or cross-device advertising tracking. Push notifications — if enabled — are delivered via Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and are used exclusively for events directly related to the app (e.g. a sent proposal being opened). Apple is headquartered in the USA; data transfers are based on the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

When you use AI generation, your prompts are sent to Anthropic (Claude). Anthropic does not use this data for model training under its Privacy Policy (API access). Headquarters: USA.
The app contains no advertising tracking, no cross-app tracking, and no third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no Firebase Analytics). We therefore do not request App Tracking Transparency.
We store your account and content data for as long as your account exists. After deletion of your account, all personal data is fully removed within 30 days. Billing-related data is retained in accordance with statutory retention obligations (up to 10 years).

The app is intended for self-employed professionals and businesses and is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
